Boo at The Zoo during Alumni Family Weekend

As a part of our Alumni Family Weekend event calendar, Fairfield University is the proud sponsor of the Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo, "Boo at the Zoo" event on Sunday, October 25 from 12-3 p.m. This spook-tacular afternoon at the Beardsley Zoo includes a meet and greet with Lucas the Stag and the Women’s Basketball Team, harvest hayrides, story-time, crafts and candy! All guests are invited to vote on their favorite scarecrow for the Beardsley Zoo annual Scarecrow Competition. Plus, there is a chance to enter to win the Lil’ Stags raffle prize gift package. ‌‌

Kids under 12 attending "Boo at the Zoo" who are dressed in costume and accompanied by a paying adult get free entry. The Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo is located only a short drive from campus on 187 Noble Ave in Bridgeport, CT.

Another reason to bring your kids’ Halloween costume to Alumni Family Weekend is the Downtown Fairfield University Bookstore event, “The Little Shop Monster” Kids Story Time, on Saturday, October 24. The day includes a live reading of The Little Shop of Monsters, written by R.L. Stein and illustrated by Marc Brown. Children ages 3 and up can join in the festivities by dressing up in their Halloween costumes! A light snack and crafts will be provided during the Kids Story Time event. Please RSVP to FairfieldUBookstoreEvents@gmail.com

The Downtown Fairfield University Bookstore will also be participating in Halloween Safety Street on Friday, October 30 from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. Come dressed in costume to parade along the Post Road and trick-or-treat!

If you are looking for more Fairfield University family fun, purchase a Lil' Stags Club membership to get free admission to select Fairfield games, a t-shirt and invitations to events with Lucas the Stag throughout the school year. You can view all the membership benefits and sign up here. Membership for Lil’ Stags Club is just $10!
